This was certainly one of the harder bosses we've had to do as a guild. It didn't take as many attempts as Sarth+3, but it's definitely a more rewarding kill. Hard modes may be more challenging, but since it's just a slightly harder version of a boss you've already killed the end result isn't as satisfying. I'm quite pleased with the guild's progress through Ulduar, as we managed to kill pretty much every boss in it's original form before it got nerfed. We'll likely see more Ulduar nerfs in the future as Blizzard tries to open it up to as many people as possible, but that doesn't really matter anymore as we wouldn't have any trouble clearing the place next week. It's something we've never really got to experience as a guild before. We started raiding burning crusade a year after it came out, so we were always playing catchup, and Naxx was so easy it hardly counted as progression.
We had a couple of weak raids on the road to killing him, but I want to thank everyone for sticking it out and maintaining high attendance. Good job everyone, and keep it up for the hard modes with the item level 239 loot!
